THE STAKES

One cold night can erase an entire harvest.

April 2021 — a late frost swept every French wine region. Damage was estimated at €2 billion; Burgundy lost about 50% on average, some parcels everything. Frost strikes between 2 and 5 AM, when no small estate has a night crew. By sunrise the buds are dead.

FIELD ACCOUNT
“Despite several nights of getting up at 2am to light protective candles and fires in the vineyards, the estate still lost around half of its white grape harvest.”

Frost is not a French problem. It is the recurring night across every market we serve — and in April 2025 it reached Bulgaria.

WHAT VINESENTRY DOES

We watch every sector. We wake you in time. We prove what happened.

01
LIVE

Watch

Wireless sensors among the vines, reading your most frost-prone sectors every few minutes, years on one battery.

02
THE ALERT

Wake

When a sector crosses its threshold, VineSentry calls your phone; if you don't answer, it calls the next person, and the next, until someone does.

03
LIVE

Prove

Every event sealed into a timestamped record: when frost struck, when you were warned — ready for your insurer.

The call is the relief. The record is the reason you keep paying.

READY ON ARRIVAL

Nothing to configure. Everything arrives ready.

Engineered for your plot

We design your sensor map from your plot plans and frost history, pre-configure every device, and ship a kit that only needs switching on.

Live from the first minute

You power on, and we call you to confirm every sector is live.

A name, not a ticket

When something matters, you reach a person who knows your estate.

WHY IT MATTERS

In April 2021, up to 40% of French frost losses were uninsured (Reuters/FranceAgriMer) — and even insured growers face slow, disputed assessments.

A sealed, timestamped record takes the argument out of the claim.

THE FORECAST

From proving what happened to warning what will.

VineSentry's predictive layer learns each estate's micro-climate from its own per-sector records — the cold-air behavior of your hollows, not a regional forecast. Launching for the 2027 frost season. Founding pilots get it first.

WHY US

Rooted in the wine world, not tourists in it.

Founded by a wine producer building a Crémant with an established Burgundy house; backed by one of Bulgaria's most respected wine merchants (a DiVino Top 50 judge for ten straight years). We're wine people solving a problem we live with.

FOUNDING PILOT

Join the pilot program.

Three estates are installing now and four more are in line. Founding places are limited by how fast we can prepare and ship before the frost season — founding members shape the product, lock a founding price, and get our full attention.
